
On Eurogamer, Digital Foundry has concluded its technical analysis of Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy - Definitive Edition with a review of the Vice City and San Andreas remasters. Related: GTA 6: Snoop Dogg Comment Could Suggest San Andreas Sequel The remasters have since been restored and updated, and Rockstar is even letting people who purchased GTA: The Trilogy download classic versions of the GTA games for free as a public show of goodwill. The PC version of GTA: The Trilogy was the subject of most backlash and media attention, with publisher Rockstar Games temporarily removing it from the Rockstar Launcher just days after launch.


Although there was initial hype for the remasters GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas on modern hardware, GTA: Trilogy - Definitive Edition was met with an icy reception at release because of its visual changes and glitches.
